Keep ITSM and the CMDB.
Use your existing tools for incidents, service requests, change workflows, and general IT configuration. CatProof does not replace those systems.
CatProof is a member of NVIDIA Inception.Explore the program A focused registry for your AI landscape.
CatProof brings AI asset and agent records together across configured sources, with ownership, source context, and review history. It is not an IT service management (ITSM) platform or a replacement for your configuration management database (CMDB).
Our focus is AI assets and agents. Supported connectors also import related applications, services, MCP servers and tools, or directory identities as source context. A service record alone does not prove that it runs AI, and a related asset is not automatically an agent.
Coverage depends on the connector, permissions, and configured scope. CatProof does not inventory every server, laptop, network device, or software license in your organization. Check current coverage →
AI inventory appears in several product categories. Compare the job you need done, rather than counting checkmarks.
Product descriptions summarize the linked first-party sources. “Relationship to CatProof” is our assessment of product focus, not a claim about interoperability. On small screens, scroll the table horizontally.

| CatProofAI asset & agent registryProduct guide ↗ | Connect AI inventory to accountable business records. | Configured-source agents and related assets; explicit identity links, source IDs, and freshness. Coverage ↗ | Recorded agent ownership, lifecycle, reviews, and history stay separate from source observations. No runtime enforcement. | Choose for a focused shared inventory and durable agent accountability. Early access; validate your required sources. |
| ServiceNow CMDBAdjacent IT foundationCMDB documentation ↗ | Represent IT infrastructure and services as configuration items. | Broad asset, service, and relationship records; identification, reconciliation, and CMDB health. | Configuration data and lifecycle management underpin broader ServiceNow processes. | Complementary focus. Keep general IT configuration in your CMDB; CatProof focuses on AI records. CMDB and ITSM are distinct capabilities. |
| ServiceNow AI Control TowerOverlapping AI governanceAI discovery documentation ↗ | Discover and manage an enterprise AI portfolio. | AI systems, models, prompts, datasets, and MCP servers in a centralized AI inventory. | Inventory feeds governance, monitoring, and risk management. Inventory documentation ↗ | Meaningful overlap in AI inventory and governance. Evaluate separately from the general CMDB when choosing an AI oversight platform. |
| ZenityAI agent securityAI Observability ↗ | Give security teams visibility into AI agents and their exposure. | Agent discovery across SaaS, cloud/homegrown, and endpoints; ownership, permissions, integrations, and data access. | Observability includes activity and step-level behavior to support security investigation. | Overlaps in agent inventory; evaluate for security visibility and behavioral context. CatProof centers on business records and decisions. |
| Noma SecurityAI discovery & securityAI Asset Discovery ↗ | Discover AI components and map security risk. | Agents, models, MCPs, skills, and data connections across endpoint, cloud, and SaaS environments. | Agent/MCP registry, risk mapping, and policy enforcement through supported AI infrastructure. | Overlaps in AI inventory; evaluate for risk discovery and security controls beyond CatProof’s recorded governance scope. |
| Credo AIAI governance platformProduct overview ↗ | Manage AI governance, risk, and compliance across the lifecycle. | Registry and discovery for agents, models, and applications, with dependency context. | Risk assessments, regulatory policy packs, approval workflows, and evidence generation. | Overlaps in registry and governance. Evaluate for a broader risk and compliance program; CatProof emphasizes source-linked accountability. |
Reviewed . Vendor-published capabilities are not independent test results. Editions, connectors, permissions, and deployment choices affect coverage. This is a selected comparison, not an exhaustive market ranking.
Use your existing tools for incidents, service requests, change workflows, and general IT configuration. CatProof does not replace those systems.
Use CatProof to inspect supported AI inventory, link agent identities deliberately, name accountable owners, and preserve reviews as source metadata changes.
Use specialist products when you need runtime protection, threat investigation, or formal compliance workflows. Recorded governance in CatProof does not stop an agent.
This describes complementary responsibilities. It does not imply that CatProof automatically synchronizes with every product listed above.
