Choose your setup path
Use the hosted app
Create an account, add your first agent, invite your team and verify your registry. No local installation is required.
Start with hosted setup →Run a local development stack
Use an authorized source checkout, Docker Compose, PostgreSQL and local HTTPS. This path is for development and testing.
Start local development →Prefer a ready-to-run local release?
CatProof Community Edition packages the registry, PostgreSQL and local HTTPS with Docker launchers. Download a versioned release or inspect the source on GitHub.
Creating your own image? Follow Build a Docker image for the clone, build, verification and custom-image startup commands.
Connect a source
The connection guide walks through scope, authentication, preview, import and credential rotation. The connector catalog lists each adapter’s coverage and validation status.
Understand the record
The system of record guide explains canonical agents, deliberate identity links, business owners, source freshness and review decisions.
What setup establishes
A successful source read confirms visibility within the configured scope. It does not establish organization-wide discovery, runtime health or compliance. CatProof stores ownership and lifecycle decisions independently from source observations. Changing a lifecycle in CatProof does not stop an agent in its platform.
Explore before connecting
The public demo uses fictional records and simulated refreshes. It requires no provider credentials and makes no provider calls.
