1. Create your account
Open CatProof signup and create a personal email and password account. Sign in to your registry. An email domain does not grant access to another team’s registry.
2. Add your first agent
Choose Add an agent in the empty-registry prompt, or + Add agent above Agent records. Record its name, purpose, accountable business owner, lifecycle and review notes. A manual agent record can exist before you connect a platform.
If you already have an inventory, choose Import CSV, download the template, review the preview and import. The current import accepts up to 100 rows in a 250 KB file. Imports create manual records and do not update existing agents by name.
3. Connect an authorized source
Open Connectors, choose a provider and configure its account scope and authentication. Follow the connection guide to preview and import. Registry owners manage connections and credentials.
4. Review the agent and its identities
Open an agent to inspect its business record and original source evidence. Review any Possible matches before moving a source identity to another canonical record. Matching names are a suggestion, not proof of shared identity. Both records and their existing decisions remain when an identity moves.
5. Invite teammates
Open Account → Team & security. An owner creates an email-bound editor or viewer invitation, confirms their password and shares the displayed code privately. Invitations expire after 48 hours and can be used once. Invitation emails are not sent automatically.
The recipient signs in with the exact invited email and enters the code in Team & security. Owners manage access and connections. Editors manage records, identity links and refreshes. Viewers read and export.
6. Verify your setup
- Reopen your first agent and confirm its purpose and business owner.
- Compare imported source IDs and counts with the provider’s view under the same account and scope.
- Refresh a connection and confirm your business owner and review notes remain intact.
- Inspect What changed for new, updated and no-longer-observed records or failed source reads.
Export this view exports records matching the active view across pages. The header’s Export records exports the registry scope, independent of search filters.
